I’ve always been a creative person — the kid who was dreaming something up, writing something down, putting on a show or finding a reason to bring people together.

I went to college tucked away in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, where I started out studying theatre before eventually earning my degree in English education. My career after that took a few turns — teaching, real estate, raising a family through military moves, and eventually finding my way into marketing.

Although, looking back, I think I was finding my way there all along. I started my own blog before having kids and kept writing through different seasons of life — changing the name (more than once) whenever a new idea took hold. I loved having a place to write, create, share and connect with people online long before I thought of any of those things as a career.

Over the years, I found more ways to put those instincts to work — building relationships through real estate, creating content, helping with social media and campaigns for nonprofits, and eventually working behind the scenes on marketing, outreach and social media for small businesses.

Somewhere in there, all of those seemingly unrelated pieces started making sense.

Writing taught me how to tell a story. Theatre taught me how to hold someone's attention. Real estate taught me the power of relationships. Blogging taught me how to create and connect online. And working with small businesses and nonprofits taught me just how much a good idea can do when the right people see it.

But when it came time to build something of my own, I knew I didn't want to stop at social media.

I have more ideas than just a grid.

So I created Kate Always Creative — a place where I can bring all of those pieces together to help businesses and organizations tell their stories, show up creatively and find meaningful ways to connect with their communities.

About
Connection & Community
Some of the best marketing doesn't feel like marketing at all. I love connecting businesses with their communities — and with each other — through thoughtful outreach, partnerships, events and content people actually want to engage with.
Pretty content is great. Pretty content with a purpose is better. I bring together writing, storytelling and strategy to create marketing that looks good and makes sense for your business.
Storytelling & StrategyÂ
I’m rarely short on ideas. Whether you need content, a campaign, a collaboration or simply a fresh perspective, I love finding the idea that makes people stop, notice and connect.

Forever a Theatre Kid
I started college studying theatre and recently found my way back to the stage as an adult. Apparently some things stick.
Always exploring
I love finding the places, people and little gems that make southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island feel special — preferably with a coffee in hand and my camera roll filling up.
Mom & Military Spouse
Years of raising a family through military life and moves have taught me a thing or two about starting over, finding community and making a home wherever you land.
Writer at heart
Long before Katealways Creative, there were blogs — several names, several iterations and a whole lot of ideas. Writing has always been one of the ways I make sense of things and connect with people.
